Ambits Take Flight

While the rest of the city slowly worked its way toward the evening slumber, things were taking off at VOX Theatre for the 2022 AMBIT Awards Gala. Hosted by the Kansas City Data-Driven Marketing Association (KCDMA), this event celebrates the most innovative and creative data-driven marketing campaigns that Kansas City has to offer.

During the course of the night, 60+ awards were handed out to agencies and digital marketing professionals around the city for their outstanding work across direct mail, paid search marketing, social media marketing, and organic search engine marketing.

How did Voltage fair once the tape started rolling? Let’s find out…

Bringing in a grand total of nine AMBIT Awards, Voltage struck gold twice within the Organic Search Engine Marketing and Paid Search Marketing categories. Five silver awards were brought home, with three coming from SEO, one from PPC, and the final silver from Business-to-Business Marketing. The final two bronze awards were a result of our Paid Search efforts.

Award: Organic Search Engine Marketing (SEO)

Building upon previous-year success, Voltage brought home 4 awards in the SEO category, anchored by back-to-back gold awards for BARR Advisory.  Through a dynamic SEO strategy and improvements to overall site health, indexability, and content targeting, BARR Advisory generated 82% more qualified leads through a 200% increase in organic visitors.

We also brought home silver awards for three additional SEO campaigns: Herzig EngineeringDolby.io, and The Man Registry.

Award: Paid Search Marketing (PPC/SEM)

Voltage received four awards in the Paid Search Marketing category, including a gold award for our Animal Healthcare campaign focused on new puppy owners. The goal of this new initiative was to expand its customer base with more qualified leads and funnel customers to partnered veterinary clinics. By targeting first-time puppy owners in this campaign, we were able to get them leads quickly. With a conversion rate of 4.35%, we surpassed the advertiser’s lead goal by 130%.

Voltage also received a silver award in Paid Search Marketing for its National Craft Retailer campaign. The client’s overall goal was to increase revenue and build customer loyalty, retention, and lifetime value. Our successful paid marketing campaign helped them accomplish this goal by increasing impressions, clicks, and conversions. Throughout the course of the year, impressions increased by 98.60%, clicks increased by 37.30%, users increased by 49.94%, and conversions went up by 44.73%.

Our American Trailer & Storage campaign and Urgent Care Clinics campaign rounded out the awards for the evening, each garnering a bronze award for their efforts across PPC.

Award: Business-to-Business Integrated Marketing

Voltage won silver in the B2B Integrated Marketing Category with a campaign for American Trailer & Storage. Through PPC, SEO, and social media efforts, Voltage’s digital marketing plan exceeded expectations by helping to improve AT&S’s quote form submission goal by 76% across all channels in 2021.
