WE’RE BREAKING RECORDS OVER HERE
…Our own, that is. In June, Voltage set an agency record by taking home ten AMBIT awards. We celebrated accordingly with an office-wide watch party, plenty of White Claws and some healthy competition among the Voltage crew.
It has long been known that the Kansas City marketing scene is full of truly brilliant individuals and agencies, and we’re grateful to be a part of it. This year, Voltage “brought home the bacon” in four different categories – business-to-consumer integrated marketing, organic SEO, paid search and social media marketing.
BUSINESS-TO-CONSUMER INTEGRATED MARKETING
Voltage won bronze in the B2C Integrated Marketing Category with a campaign for American Trailer & Storage. Through PPC, SEO, and social media efforts, AT&S saw a 67% increase in sessions (including 57% increase in new users) and effectively doubled website leads. These conversion-focused efforts helped target and capture highly-qualified consumers via quote submissions.
ORGANIC SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING (SEO)
We continued to show our strength in organic SEO this year, and we’ve got the results to show for it. While each of these campaigns yielded significant boosts in SEO – our campaign for the BARR Advisory won gold for earning a 114% increase in organic leads and a 98% increase in organic sessions through technical SEO and UX optimizations. Our strategy centered around improving the site’s crawlability and indexability by optimizing both technical and on-page SEO. We improved user experiences by increasing internal linking and navigation, adding transcriptions to video resources and creating more targeted lead forms based on visitor interests.
We also won silver awards for four other campaigns for Rodgers Health Center Website Launch, DaVinci Roofscapes, Pioneer Military Credit and Kicksite.
PAID SEARCH MARKETING (PPC/SEM)
Voltage won gold in the Paid Search category with a campaign for American Trailer & Storage. Our paid search strategy improved the client’s quote form submissions by 58%, while reducing the cost-per-conversion by 65% and cost-per-click by 22% during the first six months of 2020. Voltage monitored daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly optimization tasks that included negative keyword matching, adjusting bids to the top of page bid, promoting well-performing keywords, A/B testing various site elements and more.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Finally, we won several awards for our social media efforts, including a silver award for our campaign for the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. A 31.8% increase in social media ad clicks helped contribute to a staggering 64% rise in museum donations.
We followed this win with two bronze awards for social campaigns for American Trailer & Storage and Dordt University.
THAT’S A WRAP
We don’t mean to brag, we’re just really proud of our work and the impact it has on our clients. We’re lucky to work with such wonderful people day in and day out.
Thanks to KCDMA for hosting another incredible event – The AMBITS are always a highlight, and we can’t wait to join the festivities in person next year.
